Born and raised in Anderson, Indiana, Rick Brown has deep roots in Madison County. You may recognize him from the athletic field where he was the vice president for the baseball and softball association and an official for football, basketball, and softball games around Indiana. Maybe you know him as the drummer for his church in Pendleton. Or maybe you met him as a special advocate to be a voice for children working through the court system.
Rick is a long-time small business owner and entrepreneur, co-owning a computer consulting and administration firm in Pendleton. His wife, Jill, is the president of their local school board.
Rick served as the Deputy Treasurer for Madison County from 2013 to 2015 where he helped the office modernize and become more responsive to community needs. He built a relationship with a third party vendor to ensure that property taxes could be payed online with no fee for the taxpayer. He spearheaded the redesign of the Madison County Treasurer’s website to make it easier to navigate and use. Most importantly, he worked in spite of partisan divides to ensure the office was accountable to the taxpayer first and foremost.
Rick was a candidate for Indiana State Representative District 53 where he was a champion for efficient and transparent government.
